EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE CENTRE, UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN
The Equipment Maintenance Centre (EMC), University of Ibadan, builds upon a long legacy of innovation and technical expertise that dates back to the early equipment fabrication, repair, and maintenance initiatives of the Department of Physics in the 1950s. Formally inaugurated on 1 November 1991 as part of a nationwide initiative of the National Universities Commission (NUC), the EMC was established to strengthen the capacity of Nigerian universities for technical services, procurement, and effective maintenance of laboratory and research equipment.
